As part of ongoing upgrades to Chicago’s public transit system, the CTA Super Structure project involved critical improvements to elevated track infrastructure and supporting framework. The work required tight tolerances, minimal disruption to service, and robust structural reliability in a high-traffic urban setting.

Waukegan Steel provided custom steel fabrication for transportation, delivering precisely engineered steel components for this elevated rail structure. Our scope included fabrication of structural framing and connection systems that support long-span track alignment, pedestrian safety, and long-term performance.
