Project engineer position will provide management support to the entire Waukegan Steel project management team — from project kick off through the closeout process. The project engineer position assists the project management team with scheduling, coordination, shop drawing process, and project changes.
Ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
General construction knowledge
Strong interest in the steel fabrication/construction industry
Strong verbal/written communication skills, including customer relations skills
Team player, prefers fast paced environment, comfortable multi-tasking, prioritizing, and ability to handle multiple projects at various phases of construction
Strong computer skills, Microsoft office suite
Proficient with architectural/structural blueprint reading and steel shop drawing packages
Knowledge of AIA billing process (G702/G703)
Job site experience, field measuring experience +++
Familiar with processing/tracking submittals, RFIs, change orders; PROCORE or similar experience +++
Salary commensurate with years of experience and qualifications.
